1.I believe that urbanization and hosing are destoying the environment.
2.I belive that the media is messing with people's ideologies and expectations.
3.I believe that technology can be advanced even more to make it more effiecient and less wastefull.
4.I believe that there is a better way to deal with the homeless population and help them.
5.I believe that worsening pollution will lead to severe health risks and diseases.
4.It seems that there are more soup kitchens rather than opportunity for the homeless. We talk about the homeless as if they were their own race but in reality thay are people who have lost their houses, money, and jobs. They may have lost these things for a number of reason but there are some who seek redempion and a second chance to work towards opportunity again. We have a number of homeless shelters and soup kitchen to help the unfortunate but that only helps them short term. I believe that what is needed is more job traning facilities, sustainable jobs for the homeless, and free classes. making these changes will reduce the population of homeless on the streets. These changes will benefit greatly in the long run.
Proposal
ReplyDelete1. what about this topic appeals to you? Why did you choose it?
This topic appeals to me because since the reccession alot of people have been going bankrupt and lossing their homes and it is affecting everyone around us. I chose the topic because i want to show how critical the situation is getting.
2.What do you already know about this subject?
I know that these past few years we have been experiencing "bad" economic times and that has led to a decrease in employement and an increase in homeless.
3. What are you hoping to learn about the subject?
I hope to learn about what efforts our government is taking to help anyone who is in desparation and struggling.
4. What are you most interested in reguarding the topic?
I am interested to see how the increasing homeless population affects us, our society, economy, etc.
5. What potential risks or challenges do you foresee for your project.
If worse comes to worse I might get the crap beaten out of me by an angry homeless person while I serve in a soup kitchen. I might also not find sufficient information.
Daniel, please repost your proposal on your actual blog, to keep it all uniform. Also, what is your essential question? What are the causes of homelessness and how can we prevent them? How can we assist those who have lost their homes?
ReplyDeleteAlso, try not to stereotype homeless people by saying things like "get the crap beaten out of me". I have never once heard of that happening to someone at a soup kitchen.
